The redesigned Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Sunny Mix is designed to thrive in direct sunlight. This mix features a unique Root-Building Nutrition formula, which is a carefully crafted combination of ingredients that helps establish deep roots, enabling the growth of a thick, green lawn from the ground up.
Suitable for both full sun and light shade areas, the Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Sunny Mix demonstrates medium to high drought resistance and medium to high durability, making it an excellent choice for seeding a new lawn or overseeding an existing one.
For optimal results, apply this grass seed during the spring or fall seasons when the average daily soil temperature consistently ranges between 55°F and 70°F or the air temperature is between 60°F and 80°F. To ensure even distribution, we recommend using a Scotts® spreader and following the settings provided on the product label.
After application, water the area daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach a minimum height of 2 inches. A single 2.4 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Sunny Mix can cover up to 360 sq. ft. for new lawn seeding or 1,080 sq. ft. for overseeding an existing lawn.
