Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Dense Shade Mix is designed to grow with as little as 3 hours of sunlight. This expertly crafted mix contains Root-Building Nutrition, a combination of ingredients that helps establish deep roots, enabling the growth of a thick, green turf. As a result, you can build a better, stronger lawn from the roots up.
Suitable for both full sun and dense shade, the Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Dense Shade Mix offers medium drought resistance and medium to high durability. It can be used to seed a new lawn or overseed an existing one, with the best results achieved when applied in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 75°F or air temperatures are between 65°F and 85°F.
For optimal application, Scotts recommends using one of their spreaders and watering the area daily or as needed, until the seedlings reach a minimum height of 2 inches. A single 5.6 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Dense Shade Mix can cover 465 sq. ft. for a new lawn or 1,400 sq. ft. for overseeding.
