Designed for use in both full sun and dense shade, this grass seed mix offers medium drought resistance and medium to high durability, making it a versatile choice for various lawn conditions. The product can be used to seed a new lawn or overseed an existing one, with best results achieved when applied during the spring or fall seasons, when daily average soil temperatures range between 55°F and 70°F or air temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F.
For optimal application, Scotts® recommends using one of their spreaders and watering the seeded area daily or as needed to maintain a moist soil surface until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches in height. A single 12 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix® can cover up to 1,600 sq. ft. for a new lawn or 4,800 sq. ft. for overseeding an existing one.
